Stage Left, the band’s second live album, was recorded at The Apollo in Glasgow, Scotland on June 10th & 11th, and at The Forum in Montreal, Quebec in March 27th, A video release with the same name, with slightly different content, was released .

Broon's Bane is a short classical guitar arrangement performed by Alex Lifeson. It is featured on Rush's live album, Exit Stage Left. It was performed as an extended intro for The Trees. The song is named after Terry Brown, who produced Exit Stage Left and 10 other Rush albums. Interestingly, Broon's Bane is not heard on any other of Rush's live or studio recordings. Broon's Bane is.

Stage Left is the second live album by the Canadian rock band Rush, released as a double album in October by Anthem Records. After touring in support of their eighth studio album Moving Pictures (), the band gathered recordings made over the previous two years and constructed a live release from them with producer Terry centsilohougusa.outammogputiparockstaninosviecont.co: Progressive rock, hard rock.

"A Passage To Bangkok" has been omitted in order to release Exit Stage Left as a single compact disc. All tracks recorded live during Rush's world tour. Tracks 1 to 3, 7 to 12 recorded in Canada by Le Mobile. Tracks 4 to 6 recorded in the UK by Mobile One/5(2).

*once Rush had more than four studio albums in their discography—i.e., beginning with Exit Stage Left—they also included one older song on each live album. Also, a new introduction to “The Trees,” named “Broon’s Bane,” is listed as a separate track on Exit Stage Left.

Side 3 of Exit Stage Left is RIDICULOUS! Wish they would've included this passage (Broon's Bane, The Trees & Xanadu) on the Time Machine tour in , as it was of that precise moment (originally performed on the "Moving Pictures" tour, which Time Machine was referring back to when they played that album in its entirety -- STUNNING!).

From the Moving Pictures album. "YYZ" (natively pronounced why-why-zed) is the airport code for the Toronto Pearson International Airport, and the instrumental opens with a rhythm in 5/4 that is Morse code for "YYZ" ( The piece evolved into a drum/bass solo during the s. "YYZ" was the first of six Rush songs (over three decades) to be nominated for a Grammy in the category of Best Rock.
